Knocknarea

The Knocknarea mountain lies to the west of Sligo.

330 metres high with a large Neolithic tomb on its rounded top, the outline of Knocknarea defines the region.

Queen Maeve, a celtic warrior queen, is said to be still burried in the large tomb (50 meters long x 10 meters high).
